Key Responsibilities
Safely operate school buses on assigned routes and schedules
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensure safe loading and unloading of students, including those with special needs
Maintain a clean and organized vehicle interior
Communicate with dispatch and schools via two-way radio or tablet
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company procedures
Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and school staff
Complete route logs and required safety documentation

Valid Illinois driver’s license (CDL Class B with P/S endorsements preferred)
Clean driving record with a strong safety record
Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
Reliable attendance and punctuality
Professional, respectful, and student-focused demeanor
Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
Previous school bus or commercial driving experience is a plus
Willingness to complete NovaPath’s paid CDL training program (if unlicensed)
Requirements
