Bus Driver Trainer

As a Driver Trainer at NovaPath, you’ll be responsible for preparing new and current drivers to meet the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and student care. You’ll lead CDL instruction, conduct behind-the-wheel training, and coach drivers on company procedures, compliance, and customer service. This role is key to ensuring every NovaPath route starts with a confident, capable driver.

You’ll lead CDL instruction, conduct behind-the-wheel training, and coach drivers on company procedures, compliance, and customer service. This role is key to ensuring every NovaPath route starts with a confident, capable driver.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL training
Administer driver evaluations and ride-alongs
Teach defensive driving, student management, and emergency procedures
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Coach drivers on safety incidents and performance improvements
Assist with onboarding and ongoing driver certifications
Maintain training records and documentation

Minimum 3 years of school bus or commercial driving experience

Ability to lead by example and maintain a safety-first mindset
Instructor certification preferred (but not required)
Requirements
CDL Class B with P/S endorsements
